    I really love this blog’s perspective on Black music, but I leave with a question. What is Jazz today from a Afro-American viewpoint? I don’t seem to hear much on the radio. Should we still call it jazz? It seems that the 70’s
    jazz is some of the most desired for audiophile collectors just as the 50’s was thirty years ago. It would be my opinion that artists like Nicole Mitchell;Rob Brown Quartet;Matthew Shipp;Alberto Pinton;Rob Mazuek Quintet;Wallace Roney should be at the Monterey Jazz Fest. Could you add to the list? Thanks
